<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an instrument and to detect quickly a measuring gas by irradiating IR rays on a sample cell, passing the rays through the gas, inverting the IR rays by a rectangular prism so as to enter an IR detector and detecting the concn. of the gas. CONSTITUTION:An IR releasing part 50 and an IR detecting part 52 are partitioned by a partition wall and is provided to one end of a normal incidence type non-dispersive IR gas analyzer 40. The IR rays from an IR source 66 are passed through the 1st photoconductive pipe 62, then through the sample cell 60 and are inverted by the rectangular prism 56. The inverted rays are passed through the 2nd photoconductive pipe 64 and are made incident on the IR detector 76. The measuring gas is put into the cell 60 through an inlet 86 thereof and is released from an outlet 88. The IR wavelength absorbed by the gas is detected by the detector and the concn. of CO2, etc. is determined. A standard gas is introduced into the cell 60 through a calibrating gas pipe and the measured reference value of the detector 76 is calibrated. The IR rays are inverted by the prism and are not condensed by a lens, etc. and therefore the easy measurement is made possible without the need for adjusting the condensing distance at every change of the wavelength of the IR rays.</p> |
