PURPOSE:To prepare satisfactory ink droplets by improving the displacement characteristics of a nozzle through the application of bias voltage. CONSTITUTION:In a driving circuit which drives an electrobias element 1, a coupling condenser 13 is connected in the latter stage of an amplifier 12 which amplifies an alternating current generated by an AC oscillator 11 and a voltage adjustable DC power supply 14 in said stage. The total voltage obtained from these two sources is applied to the electrostriction element 1. This applied voltage acts as an excitation voltage 16 having a bias voltage E. That is, the excitation voltage works centering around the bias voltage E. Accordingly, the displacement (oscillation) of the ink jet printer nozzle occurs in a comparatively straight line part, so that the oscillation strain can be minimized considerably. The orientation of the bias voltage E is applied in such a way that the rigidity of the oscillation transmission system may be increased, thus further increasing the oscillation efficiency. |
