摘要 In the process described here for hot-isostatic pressing of porous bodies, in which the moulding, which was cold-precompacted or sintered from a powdered material, is encapsulated and then subjected to isostatic pressure at high temperature, encapsulation of the moulding prior to pressing is effected by chemical deposition of metals or metal alloys having a high melting point from the vapour phase (CVD) onto the surface of the moulding. Such an encapsulation with ductile metals, for example molybdenum or tungsten, is technically easy and, from as low a layer thickness of the capsule material as approximately 1 mu m, provides a tight seal, which is thermomechanically stable up to more than 2000 DEG C, of the surface pores of the moulding to be pressed, even in the cavities thereof.
