PURPOSE:To obtain a light receiving member suitable for imaging using interfering monochromatic light, easy in manufacture management, sharp in digital imaging and high in resolution by forming the image receiving member composed of a substrate provided with a large number of protuberances on the surface, and a light receiving layer comprising a photosensitive layer region made of an amorphous material contg. Si, and a surface layer having reflection preventive function. CONSTITUTION:The light receiving member 1000 is constituted by laminating on the substrate 1001 subjected to surface cutting, the light receiving layer 1002 composed of, from the substrate side, an electrostatic charge injection preventive layer 1003, the photosensitive layer 1004, and the surface layer 1005. The substrate 1001 may be electrically conductive or insulating, and as the conductive substrate, a metal or alloy, such as Ni, Cr, Pd, or their alloy, are usable, and as the insulating substrate, polyester, paper, etc., are generally used. The layer 1003 is prepared in order to prevent injection of charge from the substrate 1001 side to the photosensitive layer 1004, and to enhance apparent resistivity. The layer 1004 is made of A-Si(H, X), and it has both of charge generating function being allowed to generate photocarriers by irradiation of laser beams, and charge transfer function transferring charge.
