<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a tablet input device with reduction of cost and to improve the reliability of the detection signal, by providing a single or plural electrodes arranged on a tablet support substrate and a substrate containing detection electrodes set opposite to the electrodes on the tablet support substrate. CONSTITUTION:When an operator applies a detection pen 2 to the position of a character written on a character sheet 21 of a tablet 1. Thus the electrodes 12 and 14 on substrates 11 and 13 conduct. Then a tablet SW signal is impressed to a CPU4 via an I/O port 3. Thus the scan pulses are impressed to electrodes 16 and 18 and detected by the pen 2 applied on the sheet 21, and the detected position signals are stored to a memory 5 via the CPU4. The scan pulse is detected again for confirmation of the accuracy of said position signal. The result of this detection is stored to the memory 5 and compared with the preceding result. When the coincidence is obtained, the position signal is displayed or delivered outside. This simplifies the structure of the pen 2 with reduction of cost and improves the reliability of the detection signal.</p> |
