PURPOSE:To reduce the size of combustion chamber and engine by providing a heat-exchanging section in a combuster in addition to a regenerative cooling section at the external wall of combustion chamber thereby increasing the pressure receiving area of regenerative cooling liquid. CONSTITUTION:A section for flowing rocket fuel or liquid hydrogen (regenerative cooling liquid) LH2 or a heat-exchanger 2 is provided in the combustion chamber 1. Then regenerative cooling liquid LH2 is flowed in series or parallel to a regenerative cooling liquid path in the external wall of combustion chamber and the heat-exchanger 2, to enable enlargement of heat-exchange area of regenerative cooling liquid without lengthening the combustion chamber 1, thus to increase the heat-exchange capacity. The regenerative cooling liquid is fed through inlets 6, 7 to the heat-exchanger 2 and said path 3 while the heat-exchanged high temperature liquid (gas) is discharged through the outlets 4, 5. With such combuster 1, the size of combustion chamber can be reduced while wide heat receiving area is obtained resulting in reduction of the size of engine. |
