PURPOSE:To allow the titled device to withstand sufficiently external shock at transportation by coupling strongly a carrying mechanism and a playing section via a dummy disc at transportation and restoring the disc to a prescribed position at playing. CONSTITUTION:The dummy disc is loaded on a turntable 31 by a transportation preparation command, a pressing member 114 clamps the disc and even when the power is disconnected in this state, the disc carrying mechanism is coupled strongly with the playing section via the dummy disc. Thus, the device withstands sufficiently external shock at transportation. When the power is applied again and it is discriminated that the state is in the transportation preparing state, the dummy disc is restored to a prescribed position, but if another disc is placed on the said position, an alarm is raised and the said disc is ejected. |
