PURPOSE:To improve moldability without lowering heat resistance, by blending a specified acid amide compd. with a polyphenylene ether or a compsn. thereof with a styrene resin. CONSTITUTION:An org. compd. having a structure of formula I (wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> are each a 1-10C linear, alicyclic or arom. hydrocarbon group, etc.), such as N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-dimethylterephthalamide of formula II or N,N'- dibenzoylaniline, is blended with a polyphenylene ether such as poly(2,6-dimethyl- 1,4-phenylene) ether or a compsn. thereof with a styrene resin such as polystyrene to obltain the titled compsn. Usually, said org. compd. is used in a quantity of 0.1-25pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the entire quantity of the polymers.
