<p>Novel N-alkylated 3-phenyl-4-cyanopyrrole derivatives of the formula I <IMAGE> wherein R1 and R2, each independently of the other, are hydrogen, halogen, methoxy or methylthio, R3 is hydrogen or C1-C8 haloalkyl, Y is hydroxy, halogen or the -O-C(O)-R4 group, and R4 is hydrogen, C1-C8 alkyl, C1-C8 haloalkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, 2-tetrahydrofuryl, 2-tetrahydropyranyl, C1-C6 alkoxycarbonyl or the -CH(R5)-XR6 group, wherein X is oxygen or sulfur, R5 is hydrogen or C1-C3 alkyl, and R6 is C1-C6 alkyl, (C1-C6 alkoxy)-C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C6 alkenyl, C3-C6 alkynyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by halogen, C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6 alkoxy, or C1-C6 alkoxycarbonyl, are useful as microbicidal agents for controlling phytopathogenic micro-organisms.</p> |
