PURPOSE:To suppress the abnormal rise of an output current and to prevent power conversion efficiency from decreasing by providing a shunt for branching a current as a load current when the load current decreases and the output current starts rising. CONSTITUTION:When a load 11 is heavy and a load 16 is light, the voltage across the load 16 mostly rises. When the voltage across the load 16 arrives at the value exceeding the reference voltage of a constant-voltage diode 21 in a shunt 18, a comparator 19 operates to turn a transistor 20 ON. When the transistor 20 is turned ON, a current determined by a resistor 22 is flowed to the collector of the transistor 20, and the voltage supplied to the load 16 does not rise over the prescribed value. |
