PURPOSE:To measure the execution time of an optional instruction on a program by inserting a specific instruction into the program to be executed by an information processor. CONSTITUTION:The 1st-3rd specific program instructions are used for the measurement of an instruction execution time. The 1st instruction is a counting starting instruction START to be inserted immediately before an instruction X to measure an instruction execution time in an optional program, the 2nd is a counting stopping instruction STOP inserted immediately after the instruction X and the 3rd is a count reading instruction READ inserted immediately after the stop instruction STOP. When the program including the instruction X into which the 1st-3rd specific instructions are inserted is tested to be run, a flip-flop (FF)6 is set up by the instruction START and counters 7, 8 are enabled to start the counting of clock signals CLOCK. Immediately after the end of counting continued during the execution of the instruction X, the FF6 is reset by the instruction STOP to stop the counting, then the contents of the counters 7, 8 are outputted to a bus 17 by the succeeding instruction READ. |
