PURPOSE:To obtain practically sufficient reliability by determining a search rule for tracking picture elements as contour points. CONSTITUTION:A body point 4a is qualified as an upper, a right, and a left point, and a body point 4b is qualified as a right and a left point. Similarly, a body point 4d, for example, is qualified as a lower point and a body point 4e does not correspond to a boundary line and, therefore, has not qualification. A mark DELTA is given above a body point as an upper point and a mark DELTA is given below a body point as a lower point; and a mark is given at the right side of a body point as a right point and a mark is given at the left side of a body as a left point. Arrows show the tracking result of a binary-coded picture using a four-connectivity counterclockwise border point tracking rule. It is recognized that the picture is divided into a large body on the left side and a small body on the right side. |
