PURPOSE:To reduce both cross modulation distortion and harmonic wave distortion without deteriorating the normal position of a sound image, by using a woofer part and a midrange part as a coaxial speaker, setting a tweeter part with no coincidence with the axial core of the coaxial speaker, and also forming a thin fluid layer between a vibrator of the woofer part and the outer circumferential surface of the main body of the midrange part. CONSTITUTION:A tweeter part 31 is attached to a cabinet 34 together with a midrange/woofer coaxial unit mu where a midrange part 32 and a woofer part 33 are set coaxially to each other. Thus the effects of sound waves of the part 33 are reduced to the sound waves of the part 31. This reduces greatly the cross modulation distortions. While a light foam 37 is adhered to a cone diaphragm 36 of the part 33 with approximately equal space (w), e.g., a gap 55 secured from outer wall of a pot-shaped yoke 52. The gap 55 (thin fluid layer) functions as an acoustic resistance to prevent the sound waves (sound pressure) generated at the back of the vibrator of the part 33 from leaking to the front of a speaker. This eliminates the necessary to provide an edge between the inside of the diaphragm 36 and the part 32. Thus the linearity of a vibrator supporter system is improved. |
