PURPOSE:To attain to simplify an apparatus and controlling, by constituting the titled machinery so that the input character from a keyboard is directly stored in line buffer memory while receiving right-approach processing. CONSTITUTION:When there is the input of the right-approach key RALI on a keyboard KB, said input is stored in a cursor pointer CP as data showing a preset right margin position and a shift counter SC, which performs counting every when a character is inputted from the keyboard KB, is cleared and, further, right-approach processing is set. The display of a display apparatus DIS is brought to such a state that a carsor is displayed at a right margin position. When a character key A being a character is pressed, the data in line buffer memory DISP is shifted from the right end in the line buffer memory DISP to the left direction over the number of figures shown by the data of the shift counter SC and the input character is controlled so as to be stored at the right margin position at the time of printing. Therefore, right-approach buffer for temporarily storing input character is not required and the apparatus is simplified and the display control thereof is also made simple. |
