PURPOSE:To perform a test near to real running by controlling the load characteristics of a front wheel roller and a rear wheel roller on the basis of full running resistance load operated based on a running speed and allotment resistance load operated based on a load allotment ratio set corresponding to acceleration. CONSTITUTION:The front wheel and rear wheel of a four-wheel drive car to be tested are respectively contacted with and placed on a front wheel roller 10a and a rear wheel roller 10b and subjected to dummy running while full running resistance load L0 applied to the front wheel and the rear wheel is operated by a load operation circuit 16 through a rotary number detector 13 and a speed detector 14. The load allotment ratio of the front wheel and the rear wheel corresponding to the detected acceleration of an acceleration detection circuit 24 is outputted from a allotment ratio setting circuit 26. On the basis of this output, load control circuits 30a, 30b operate the allotment resistance loads of the roller 10a, 10b and impart the allotment resistance loads to the rollers 10a, 10b through DC dynamos 12a, 12b. |
