PURPOSE:To enable comfortable air conditioning with a living space in a room as a center, by a method wherein an operating part and a main body of an air conditioner are provided respectively with sensors for detecting room environments, environmental data are determined by using detection data obtained by the sensors as elements, and the operation is controlled. CONSTITUTION:Where detected temperature data Q1 obtained by a room temperature sensor 16 in the operating part 10 are quite different from detected temperature data Q2 obtained by a room temperature sensor 5 provided on the side of the main body 1, the temperature data Q2 on the main body 1 side are outputted as room temperature data. On the other hand, where the data Q1 and the data Q2 are approximate to each other, calculations are conducted with the temperature data as elements, and the results Q3 are outputted as room temperature data. A controller 25 compares the room temperature data Q2 or Q3 indicated by an output Q5 from a selecting means 23 as room temperature data with a set temperature Qs, and controls a compressor 33. Accordingly, it is possible to appropriately control the operation while taking into account both the temperature in the vicinity of the operating part and the temperature in the vicinity of the air conditioner. |
