PURPOSE:To rapidly and accurately detect a stationary object having a complicated shape, by synchronously controlling one time sweeping of slit beam and several times of camera scannings and calculating the shape of a surface from a beam cutting position and a slit beam projection angle both of which are detected at every horizontal scanning. CONSTITUTION:A slit beam porjecting mechanism 16 and a television camera 18 are fixed to a fixed base board 14 to constitute a transmitter-receiver 12 and the mechanism 16 is constituted of a beam source 20, a slit beam converter 22 and a mirror 24 with a rotary mechanism 26 while a lens 28, an image pick-up element 30 and a scanning circuit 32 are provided to the camera 18. Further, an end-of- frame signal EOF, at the time when the image picking-up of one picture was finished, receives from the circuit 32 and the mechanism 26 is synchronously driven by a slit beam sweep circuit 34 and an object 10 is swept by the slit beam 100 of the mechanism 16 to form a beam cutting line A while the signal scanned plural times at every one time sweep by the camera on the basis of the signal of a clock signal generator 38 is sent to a beam cutting position detection circuit 40 and a coordinates value is calculated from the output thereof and the position of the line A by a coordinates calculation circuit 42. |
