<p>PURPOSE:To permit easy identification of a recording system by opening a gate signal by the standard size signal corresponding to the prescribed length of a tape and supplying the output signal from a cue signal playback head corresponding to the prescribed length to a counter circuit. CONSTITUTION:The output from the cue signal playback head 21, i.e., the playback cue signal is supplied via an amplifier 61 to a waveform shaping circuit 62. The output from a tape length inspection roller 22, i.e., the tape length inspection signal is supplied via an amplifier 64 to a waveform shaping circuit 65. A gate pulse generating circuit 66 to which the signal (c) from the circuit 65 is supplied generates the standard size signal (d) of the pulse width corresponding to the prescribed length of the tape. The gate 63 supplied with said signal (d) opens by the time Tm and the pulse during the duration period of the standard size signal out of the output a/b from the circuit 62 is supplied as the output signal e/f of the gate 63 to a pulse counter 67. The DC output from the counter 67 is compared with the output from a reference voltage generator 69 in a comparator 68 and the compared output is obtd. at an output terminal 70.</p> |
