The invention relates to a method for the separate winding of a plurality of multifilament spinning threads on a common shaft, in which, when an individual filament breaks, the operation of the common winding of the spinning threads is not interrupted, but, after the broken filament has been mixed into the remaining filaments of the spinning thread affected, this affected spinning thread is identified by applying a dye. This measure makes it possible to reduce the incidence of short bobbins drastically.
