PURPOSE:To improve heat transfer coefficient by a method wherein the heat exchanger is constituted of a number of parallel small fin pieces and a heat medium pipe penetrating through the small fin pieces while at least one end of the inlet side or the outlet side of airflow of the small fin pieces are provided with a number of twisted pieces separately. CONSTITUTION:The small fin pieces 3, provided with the twisted pieces 4, are arranged on the heat medium pipe 2 in parallel with predetermined pitches. The number of twisted pieces 4, provided on the small fin pieces 3, are arranged separately on both ends of inlet and outlet sides of airflow so that the directions thereof coincide with the direction of the airflow A. The heat medium flows through the heat medium pipe 2 and heat exchange between the heat medium and air is effected utilizing the heat medium pipe 2 and the small fin pieces 3 as heat transfer surfaces since the air flows between the small fin pieces 3 on the outside of the pipe 2. In this case, eddy-like disturbance is generated in the airflow, flowing between the small fin pieces 3, and turbulent flow promoting effect may be obtained remarkably thereby improving the heat transfer coefficient. |
