The invention relates to a portable sweating device comprising a dismantleable cabin whose walls are heat-insulated toward the outside and are electrically heatable by heating plates toward the inside. In known devices of this type, the heating plate on the inner side of the cabin is arranged such that the subjects present in the cabin are directly exposed to radiation. According to the invention, uniform gentle heating of a subject using the sweating device is achieved in that the cabin wall has on its inside a wooden radiation wall heatable on the back by the heating plate, and in that the heating plate is heat-insulated toward the outer side of the cabin by an insulating layer.
