The catheter has an elongated, cylindrical unit (1) with an axial inner area (2) and radially running openings (3). An outer surface (4) of the cylindrical unit has parallely arranged flat sections (10) with a groove-like recesses running in an axial direction. The radial openings (3) extend from the flat sections to an inner surface (8) of the axial inner area (2). Passages from the outer surface of the cylindrical unit to the flat sections are rounded.
