PURPOSE:To permit easy monochromatic recording with a color device without making an operation for exchanging ink by applying static electricity to a thermally transferred image, developing and fixing the image, superposing a toner image to the thermally transferred image and sticking said images. CONSTITUTION:A color ink medium 3 and recording paper 4 are brought into press contact with each other between a thermal head 1 and a platen 2 and are subjected to prescribed thermal transfer recording in a color recorder of a thermal transfer type. A movable pawl 9 is moved to feed the paper 4 to a lower electrophotographic processing system 10 in the case of executing monochromatic recording. The paper 4 is nipped by a corona charger 5 and a counter electrode 6 and after color ink is electrified negative by corona discharge, a black toner is fixed to the image by a developing roller 7. The toner image is fixed by a fixing device 8. The easy change-over to the monochromatic recording is thus made possible with the color recorder without the need for the operation for exchanging the ink medium. |
