<p>A method and a base station for terminal moving in multicast broadcast system are disclosed. It provides the terminal in the idle mode maintain the continuity of the multicast broadcast service when it moves within MBS fields or among different MBS fields or different calling groups. In the solution, after the beginning of the MBS service, when the terminal in the idle mode moves to the object base station in the same MBS field in the same calling group from the primary base station, if the terminal doesn't receive MBS service or the terminal determines that the object base station doesn't broadcast the MBS service or broadcast the MBS service in PTP mode, then it notifies the information about the MBS service that the terminal needs to receive to the object base station through the position updating process. Or, when the terminal in the idle mode moves among different MBS fields, it notifies the MBS information of the terminal to the object base station directly through the position updating process. Or, when the terminal crosses the MBS field, it notifies the MBS information to the object base station through the process of exiting the idle mode.</p> |
