An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to reduce a contact area between a lamp holder and a lamp cover to prevent generation of a dark portion of a lamp caused by temperature un-uniformity in the lamp. An LCD includes an LCD panel, a light guide plate, a lamp(330), a lamp holder(340), a lamp cover(350), and a separating part(370). The LCD panel includes a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate, a color filter substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the two substrates. The light guide plate is located behind the LCD panel, disperses light irradiated thereto and provides the dispersed light to the LCD panel. The lamp provides light to the light guide plate. The lamp holder holds the lamp. The lamp cover envelops the lamp holder and covers the lamp such that light emitted from the lamp is guided to the light guide plate. The separating part is interposed between the lamp holder and the lamp cover and separates at least a part of the lamp holder from the lamp cover. |
