TREATMENT OF WASTE WATER CONTAINING COD

PURPOSE:To remove the COD component by adding the dust obtained by treating unburnt waste converter gas to the waste water contg. COD and which is previously oxidized and decomposed. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogen peroxide is added to the COD-contg. waste water from a waste water vessel 1 along with an iron salt catalyst in an oxidation vessel 2, and oxidation is carried out. The oxidized waste water is firstly neutralized with an alkali in a neutralization-reduction vessel 3, and then added with the dust obtained by treating the unburnt waste converter gas. Accordingly, the remaining unreacted hydrogen peroxide soln. is reduced and decomposed, and the COD component is removed.
