PURPOSE:To form a picture in accordance with a display part by reading out and displaying picture information from a storage means and moving the display picture to an optional position on a display means and outputting a picture on a basis of this picture. CONSTITUTION:When picture movement is indicated for the picture displayed on a CRT8 by a keyboard 31, a CPU32 interchanges addresses of picture information in a RAM43 in accordance with movement. Then, a part other than the picture area is generated on the CRT8, and white information is applied to addresses of the RAM43 for this part to make a blank space of this part. A vertical synchronizing signal is outputted from a printer 3 to the CPU32 when picture formation is started on the printer 3. Transmission of picture information from the RAM34 to the printer 3 is started synchronously with this signal. If the picture is moved downward on the CRT8 at this time, picture information is transmitted from the RAM34 a time, which corresponds to the width of the blank space in the vertical direction, behind the vertical synchronizing signal pulse. By this operation, the blank space generated on the CRT8 is added.
