PURPOSE:To measure an amount of DNA, an amount of protein, etc. without dyeing, by detecting heat, which is generated when DNA or protein is excited by light, as change in pressure in a liquid. CONSTITUTION:The pressurized cell floating solution 1 is jetted through the nozzle 3 to the cell 5, and it is made to flow down from the cell 5 to the detecting part 4 in a state where it is packed in the sodium chloride injection 2 with sightly lower pressure than that of the solution. The flow is irradiated through the doubler 8 and the quartz lens 9 with light from the Ar<+> ion laser 7, pressure wave detected by the piezoelectric element 6 is analyzed through the amplifier 10 by the signal treatment circuit 11, so that each cell is analyzed.
