PURPOSE:To enable the accurate adjustment of the weight of a long-range comber lap, by weighing and memorizing the weight of an empty bobbin, calculating the net weight from the difference between the memorized weight and the full- bobbin lap weight, and adjusting the draft ratio based on the deviation of the calculated net weight from the standard value. CONSTITUTION:The long-range weight of comber lap is adjusted by adjusting the draft ratio according to the deviation of the wound weight of a full-bobbin lap from the standard weight. In the above process, in contrast to the conventional method calculating the weight of the full-bobbin lap only from the measured weight of the full-bobbin lap assuming that the weight of the empty bobbin is constant, the weight of the full-bobbin lap is calculated by weighing and memorizing the weight of the empty bobbin and subtracting the weight from the measured weight of the full-bobbin lap.
