An RFID based safety management system and method are provided to effectively arrange operating staffs according to a moving route or a degree to which people gather so as to prevent accidents which may occur in a place where many people gather and collect objective data. An RFID based safety management system includes an RFID reader(100) which is set in each unit region and transmits an identification signal received from an RFID tag(101) provided to a managed object, a position computing unit(102) for receiving the identification signal from the RFID reader, computing the position of the RFID tag at a predetermined period and producing data about the number of managed objects existing in each unit region, and a transmitter(104) for transmitting a signal which requests an operating staff to move a predetermined unit region to a terminal of the operating staff when the number of managed objects located in the predetermined unit region exceeds a predetermined reference number based on the data. |
