The invention relates to an atmospheric hot-water boiler with a combustion chamber arranged at the bottom, in particular for gas firing, with which the quantity of the combustion residues contaminating the air can be reduced and the efficiency can be increased, the mode of manufacturing the boiler, i.e. the production technology, compared with the production technology of the conventional boilers, is considerably simpler and cheaper. The solution according to the invention can be characterised in that at least two intercommunicating water chambers are present, which are formed from concentrically arranged cylinder jackets. The waste gas flues are arranged between the outer cylinder jacket of the inner cylinder jacket pair, and therein three smoke-deflecting baffle elements are advantageously arranged, which force the combustion residues onto a spiral path. Furthermore, a flame-deflecting element, which is fastened on the outer cylinder jacket of the inner water chamber, is arranged in the furnace body, and/or nozzles are arranged in the circle below the waste gas flue or below the waste gas flues. The boiler according to the invention is also very suitable for any other heating materials, such as coal, coke or oil, as well as for gas.
