The invention relates to a stay for furniture flaps or the like, with a spring element of variable length in a spring sleeve which can be connected in an articulated manner to the furniture body and to the furniture flap by means of two supporting parts, the spring element going beyond a dead centre between the closing and opening positions of the furniture flap, so that the furniture flap is held in the closing and opening position by means of spring force. A special design and fastening of the supporting parts and of the control of the spring element provide a stay, in which the supporting parts can be mounted independently of one another and in which especially the opening position of the furniture flap is maintained with much greater reliability. |
