PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic disk having excellent durability, etc. by coating a magnetic paint contg. a solvent-soluble fluororesin and a hardener for said resin on a substrate and drying the coating then coating and impregnating a fluorinated carbon lubricating agent having a COOH group therein and subjecting the coating to a heat treatment to bond chemically the lubricating agent to the magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:The paint prepd. by dispersing ferromagnetic powder into a solvent such as toluene or xylene contg. the solvent soluble type fluororesin (Asahi Glass Company, ''Lumifron(R)'', etc.) added with a hardener which can cross link said fluororesin, for example, melamine resin, isocyanate, etc. and, if necessary, an abrasive agent and Al2O3 power, etc. for the purpose of improving the strength is coated on an Al (alloy) substrate, etc. and is dried to form the magnetic layer. The fluorinated carbon lubricating agent having COOH, for example, the grease which is the product of Du Pont, is expressed by the formula and is diluted with a solvent is coated on said magnetic layer and is baked for about 30min at 100-170 deg.C. After such surface is flattened by polishing, the coating is after-cured for about 30min at 200 deg.C to bond chemically the lubricating agent in the magnetic coated film. The magnetic disk or the like which obviates adsorption of a magnetic head to the coated magnetic film, has excellent durability and decreases noise is thus obtd. |
