Three-jaw chuck serving as a gripper chuck

The gripper chuck has a conventional three-jaw chuck (8) with jaws (9, 10, 11) which are guided in a radial direction in guides (12, 13, 14). Arranged on these jaws are interchangeable gripper arms (15, 16, 17) which carry gripper fingers (19, 20, 21) at their free ends. One gripper arm (15) is formed in the direction of its jaw guide (12). The other gripper arms (16, 17) are formed and arranged in such a way that all gripper fingers (19 to 21) move symmetrically and synchronously to a clamping centre (22) offset with regard to the chuck axis (23). The degree of offset of the clamping centre depends on the size of the gripper arms. <IMAGE>
