PURPOSE:To provide a Roman character input function and facilitate input operation by setting the front of display agates to a predetermined font forcibly according to the operation of a conversion key together with a KANJI (Chinese character) and KANA (Japanese syllabary) mixed writing after conversion when input characters are Roman characters. CONSTITUTION:When an alphanumeric key is depressed to specify agate display, a Roman character input mode is entered and a Roman character string is inputted on a keyboard 1, and stored in an input character string buffer 5 and also displayed on a screen. At this time, a flag HFG is reset forcibly, so a HIRAGANA (cursive form of KANA)-agate conversion part 15 is actuated during generation to generate HIRAGANA agates. Consequently, HIRAGANA agates are displayed on the screen together with the KANJI-KANA mixed writing according to the operation of a KANJI conversion key. Further, flags HFG and KFG are inverted after the agate generation, so HFG=1 and KFG=1; when the KANJI conversion key is depressed again, a KATAKANA (square form of KANA) agate conversion part 16 is actuated to generate KATAKANA agates, which are displayed. |
