PURPOSE:To rationalize the bearing of a rotary center shaft to increase the rigidity thereof and as well to miniaturize a gear casing, by journalling the rotary center shaft to an outer gear caring in the vicinity of the center section thereof with the use of a radial bearing. CONSTITUTION:An inner gear casing 3 is attached to the outer end of an axle housing 2 in which a steered wheel drive shaft 1 is disposed, and a drag arm 6 is attached to the upper section of an outer gear casing 5 to which a steered wheel shaft 4 is journalled. Between the lower end of the lower journal boss 3b of the casing 3 and the outer gear casing 5, the intermediate section of the rotary center shaft 7 is journalled to the casing 5 with the use of a radial bearing 9, the attaching positions of the bearing 9 and a bevel gear 13 are set by means of retainer rings 17, 18. The flexion of this rotating center shaft 7 is made less due to the supporting of the intermediate section of the shaft 7, thereby the meshing between gear mechanisms 12, 15 does not deteriorate so that it is satisfactory. |
