PURPOSE:To eliminate a hunting phenomenon and to attain stable control with the titled reactive power compensator by increasing and decreasing the value of a counter which decides the number of the applied capacitor banks when the absolute value of the voltage deviation exceeds a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:The actual value of the system voltage is detected by a voltage detector 1 and the voltage Vref of a voltage setting unit 2 is subtracted from said actual voltage value the obtain the voltage deviation DELTAV. This deviation DELTAV is supplied to a bank selector 9 via comparators 4a and 4b, gates 6-7 and an up-down counter 8. Then the number of capacitor banks to be applied is decided. The up- and down-counting actions are carried out with the pulses of a pulse generating circuit 5 when the deviation DELTAV is smaller and larger than the negative prescribed value respectively for execution of the digital processing. This eliminates the effects of offset of a controller, etc. and therefore can compensate the reactive power with high stability and at a high speed. |
