A novel diacrylate or dimethacrylate characterized in that diols having two allyloxy groups in a molecule are esterified with acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or their derivatives, and represented by the following structural formula: <IMAGE> wherein R denotes acryloyl or methacryloyl group, and a method for manufacturing the same.
