PURPOSE:To reduce number of components and assembling man-hour and to decrease the cost by using a seal cap in common with the external electrode takeout and the support of a piezoelectric oscillating chip, fitting directly the end of the piezoelectric oscillating chip to the seal cap, forming the external shape of the seal cap and a bottom end part in non-circular form and forming the tilt angle of a slope succeeding to the bottom end corresponding to the front and rear face of the piezoelectric oscillating chip. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric transducer consists of a crystal oscillating chip 21 having exciting electrodes 19, 20 at front and rear faces of a rectangular piezoelectric plate, seal gaps 22, 23 supporting both ends 21a, 21b in the lengthwise direction of the crystal oscillating chip 21 and formed with a conductor material used in common use a terminal extracting the external electrode in opposite direction to the lengthwise direction and a case 24 made of a transparent material such as glass. Since the seal gaps 22, 23 are used in common with the external electrode extraction, the crystal oscillating chips 21 is fixed to the bottom end parts 22a, 22b with soldering or an adhesives. The case 24 can be cylindrical, prismatic or elliptic and the frequency adjustment by laser light after airtight sealing is attained by using the transparent material such as glass.
