PURPOSE:To prevent a transmission packet from collision with each other by allowing all information processing units to supervise the said packet of an optical information processing unit and transmitting a new packet after the transmission is confirmed from data on a transmission line when an ACK (affirmative response) return request exists in the packet. CONSTITUTION:Frames DA, SA represent respectively a destination and a sender address, 1, 0 of D/A represent whether a data packet is an ACK packet or not, and ARQ 1, 0 represent whether the return of the ACK packet is requested or not. In transmitting the data packet P(DATA) shown in Fig. from an infomation processing unit 2-1 to a unit 2-3, since the D/A and the ARQ are logical 1, the units 2-2, 2-4 store the packet information and no data packet is transmitted until the return of the ACK packet is confirmed. The D/A is logical 0 and the ARQ is logical 1 in the ACK packet P(ACK) returned by the unit 2-3. The units 2-2, 2-4 supervise the packet P(ACK), compare it with the packet P(DATA) stored in advance, and since both the DA, SA, ARQ are coincident, the units 2-2, 2-4 recognize the return of the ACK packet and execute the transmission request of the own equipments. |
