PURPOSE:To offer a multi-screen display television receiver convenient to a viewer by displaying the information relating to a broadcast channel and a broadcast such as voice multiplex broadcast at each display scope so as to confirm the information on the screen at a glance. CONSTITUTION:The display representing the number of a broadcast channel and a stereo broadcast is added to each screen by a channel selection switching section to attain multi-scope display as shown in Fig. That is, a numeral [4] is displayed on the display scope P1 and this represents that the scope P1 receives the broadcast of the 4th channel. Further, a numeral [10] and a character of ''stereo'' are displayed together on the display scope P2 and this means that the screen P2 receives the broadcast of the 10th channel and the sound broadcast is the stereo broadcast. Thus, a viewer can confirm visually easily the broadcast channel of each display scope and whether or not the broadcast is the stereo broadcast.
