The previously-milled prod. is mixed in kneader with powdered calcium oxide and the mixt. treated with a compsn. consisting of sodium hydroxide, and if required, a surfactant with moistening effect on the fibrous material. The concn. of the sodium hydroxide soln. is such that the amt. of water is sufficient to convert the calcium oxide to hydroxide, with generation of pt. of the heat required for treatment of the fibrous material. The container includes a cover, loading hole and discharge hole with guillotine closure devices and inlet hopper. |
