PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a cover body of a filter by connecting an inlet with an outlet of feed water and the same of filtrate water-tightly, respectively, and preventing a cover body covering a cartridge from hydraulic pressure. CONSTITUTION:City water discharged from an outlet 22a of feed water at the top of a cylindrical member 22 and introduced into a cartridge 23 through an inlet 25 of the feed water is freed of malodor and turbidity with a filter medium 24 in the cartridge 23, and discharged to outside through an outlet 26 of filtrate, an inlet 29 of the filtrate in the main body 21 of the filter, and a discharging port 29a. In this system, the hydraulic pressure of the city water introduced from the feed water inlet 25 is stopped by the cartridge 23 until it is discharged from the filtrate outlet 26, therefore, there is no fear for causing damage of a cover 30 even if the cover is used for a long period when the strength of the changeable cover is sufficient to bear the hydraulic pressure during it is used.
