PURPOSE:To braze securely heat-resistant Ni-base alloy members to each other with high dimensional accuracy by bringing joint surfaces on which specifically composed Ni-B alloy plating layers and Cr plating layers are laminated and formed into press contact with each other and subjecting the surfaces to brazing and heat treatment at a specific temp. CONSTITUTION:At least one layer of Ni-B alloy plating layer contg. 1-5wt% B and likewise at least one layer of Cr plating layer are alternately laminated on one or both joint surfaces of the heat resistant Ni-base alloy members in the stage of brazing said members to each other. The joint surfaces of said members are held in press contact with each other and are heated in this state to the prescribed temp. within a 1,050-1,280 deg.C range in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to melt diffusively the above-mentioned Ni-B alloy layer and Cr layer so that the joint surfaces are securely brazed by the Ni-Cr-B alloy. The brazed part is then subjected to a diffusion heat treatment for the B component which heats and holds said part to the prescribed temp. in a 750-1,050 deg.C range. The high-temp. strength and toughness of the brazed part are thus improved. |
