PURPOSE:To aim at improvements in a feeling of driving comfortableness and running stability ever so better, by installing piston and cylinder emchanisms in an upper part of a piston rod, while constituting them so as to stretch a subspring across a space between an upper seat and a mount inner base. CONSTITUTION:In time of usual running, each of oil holes 12a and 12b of an adjust rod 12 is congruous with each of oil holes 3a and 3b of a piston rod 3, and they are interconnected with each other via oil chamber S1, S2 and oil holes 9b, 3a, 12a plus oilpassages 12e, 12b and 13b. With relative expansion motion of a cylinder 2 and a piston rod 3 followable to road undulations, both main and subsprings 8 and 11 are expanded, while a cylinder member 10 moves up and down together with an upper seat 7, and reciprocates between these oil chambers S1 and S2, whereby a spring constant of a damper 1 comes to a low value being combined with each spring constant of these springs 8 and 11. With this constitution, a feeling of driving comfortableness and running stability are well improvable. |
