The present invention relates to a method for forming a capacitor external electrode for a capacitor, capable of reducing an IR degradation defect or the like when forming an external electrode using electrode paste, and a method for manufacturing a capacitor. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is the method for forming a capacitor external electrode which includes the steps of: spraying the electrode paste containing conductive metal, glass, and resins in both end parts of a capacitor body; densifying the electrode paste by spraying conductive metal powder; and plasticizing the electrode paste to form an external electrode. In addition, provided is the method for manufacturing a capacitor including the same.
