The present invention provides xanthogen-modified chloroprene rubber that maintains the basic characteristics of conventional chloroprene rubber while exhibiting good dynamic characteristics, and a production method for the xanthogen-modified chloroprene rubber. The xanthogen-modified chloroprene rubber and the production method therefor are characterized in that a molecular terminal of the chloroprene rubber comprises a structure that is represented by formula (1).
