In a draught deflector for vehicles with a sliding roof, in which the draught deflector shutter is borne via support arms which are supported on guide rails which engage below against the roof opening and is held in its extended position by a spring force, and both the draught deflector shutter being swivellably coupled to the support arms and the said arms being swivellably coupled in their support against the guide rail, in order to achieve the smallest possible installation height of the sliding roof and in order to accommodate the draught deflector in its position of rest inside the water channel of the sliding roof there is provision, when closing the sliding roof cover, for the entire system consisting of draught deflector shutter, support arms, bearing blocks bearing the support arms swivellably on the guide rails and a leg spring to be displaced rearwards forcibly counter to the sliding direction of the sliding roof cover.
