PURPOSE:To remove burrs with high accuracy by correctly shifting a rotary tool along the external shape of a product when burrs are removed automatically in a burr removing apparatus for a molded article made of synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A rotary tool 1 has a driving shaft 2 and the working cutter 3 such as a spiral end mill installed onto the shaft 2, and forms a supposed cylindrical working edge surface around the shaft 2. Cylindrical contactors 6 and 7 are rotatably supported through bearings 4 and 5 onto the shaft 2 at the upper and the lower positions of the cutter 3. Each contactor 6, 7 has the diameter nearly equal to that of the supposed cylinder of the above-described edge surface. When burrs exist on the surface B of a product A, said burr is removed by the cutter 3, and the contactors 6 and 7 contact with the surface B, and in this state, the tool 1 is shifted along a predetermined locus. Thus, burrs can be removed with high accuracy. |
