PURPOSE:To check exactly observation azimuth by providing N pieces of monitoring probes placed in a correspondence of 1-to-1 to a radiation element, its switching means, a means for synthesizing the equivalent field distribution in remote radiation electromagnetic field of an antenna, and a monitor control means. CONSTITUTION:In a tactical air navigation (TACAN) antenna of a radiation pattern rotary type, in accordance with monitor output signals by N pieces of monitoring probes 2-1-N corresponding to N pieces of radiation elements, a selection of signals from (n) pieces of probes corresponding to prescribed observation azimuths, respectively, a correction of a phase difference corresponding to a propagation path difference, and an amplitude adjustment by an attenuation characteristic corresponding to a factor for showing a weight of a horizontal pattern in a prescribed expression of a remote radiation electric field are executed under the control of a monitor controller 7 in a monitoring probe switching device 3, variable phase shifters 4-1-4-n, and variable attenuators 5-1-5-n, and a composite signal showing a field distribution which is equivalent to the remote radiation electric field is obtained. Also, this composite signal is sent to the controller 7, and utilized for monitoring as an electric field corresponding value for simulating a radiation pattern. |
